Color Restore Iced Platinum

A common problem with blonde hair is brassy yellow tones. It's not exactly a good look! I came across a product called 'Color Restore Iced Platinum'. Its a toner that claims to get rid of all brassy yellow tones to leave you with a platinum colour.

I had a problem with the colour of my hair extensions. They're a year old and my real hair is now a more platinun blonde than  the colour it was first died, which was more bleach blonde. They are Foxy  Locks 160g hair extensions.

The  toner was around  £12 and can  be purchased in Boots, which  is an alright price for a toner!

I applied the toner, which is bright blue, to  my extensions. It's easy to apply, just rub  in into the hair generously and
I let it sit for 25 minutes.

This is the before and after. The result is amazing! It also makes the extensions shinier than they'd ever been before. I used Aussie Miracle Shine shampoo before toning it and then conditioned it with Aussie 3 Minute Miracle after washing out the toner.

Review of Barry M Nail Paint

A few months ago, I purchased Barry M Nail Paint in the colour '295 Turquoise'. I wasn't expecting much as it was around £3.00 and most good nail polishes would at least be double that.

The first thing I noticed was the colour choices. There were some lovely colours that I had not saw before with other cheap nail polish brands. I spent at least 5 minutes trying to pick a colour I like and I decided on this one.

I have relatively short nails so I use it on top of false nails, sometimes acrylics. It takes a long time to dry and if you don't wait at least 10-15 minutes to wait for one coat to dry before applying another, you have no hope of it ever drying as I found out the hard way. As long as you're careful and apply the layers thinly, it comes out okay. However I would still recommend using a top coat on it.

This was the finished product of me trying it for the first time.

Yes, I know what you're thinking. That's not very good. Well you're correct, the ends are a bit off and its all just a bit clumpy. This is what happened when I tried applying a second layer after 5 minutes of applying the first. However it looked alright and I just left it.

You can see the shine coming off it, and unlike a lot of other nail polishes, it does not loose it's shine. I got a lot of compliments about the shine and the colour, so as a whole I would recommend this nail paint.

Thanks for reading this post, I hope I've been of some help :)
